Miami, FL – Today, at an event in Miami, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani announced his endorsement of Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate.

“I am proud to join Marco Rubio today and endorse his candidacy for the United States Senate. Now, more than ever, we need leaders we can trust to demonstrate bold leadership and provide a little common sense in Washington. In Marco Rubio, Floridians have that leader,” said Mayor Giuliani.

“In this election, Marco is the only candidate offering Floridians a clear and compelling vision for the future of our country,” added Mayor Giuliani. “From the crushing debt being placed on future generations to the very real threats we face from abroad, it’s clear that we need Marco Rubio in the United States Senate. He will not only stand up to the reckless behavior in Washington and disastrous bills like the stimulus, but he will also offer clear and conservative alternatives. He will be a leading voice for ensuring that America’s defenses are strong and that we are vigilant in the fight against radical jihadists.”

Concluding, Mayor Giuliani said, “I know that we can trust Marco Rubio to stand up for doing what’s right in Washington.”

Standing with Mayor Giuliani, Rubio said, “Through the strength of his leadership, Mayor Giuliani turned around New York City and inspired a nation during one of our country’s most trying times. His is a leading voice for confronting the grave threats that face the United States today. I’m proud to have his endorsement. He knows that we need leaders in Washington who will stand up to this administration’s agenda, which is fundamentally weakening the country we love.”
