Brevard County Man Claims $6 Million Florida Lotto™ Jackpot
TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Lottery announced today that FLORIDA LOTTO™ winner Anthony Pesce, 51, of Merritt Island, claimed the April 28, $6 million FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot.
Pesce chose the one-time, lump-sum payment for his winnings in the amount of $3,435,639.35. The winning FLORIDA LOTTO Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Condor Petroleum, located at 3120 N. Courtenay Parkway. The retailer received a bonus incentive of $20,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
The winning FLORIDA LOTTO numbers were 05-15-29-37-39-52 and the XTRA multiplier was 3.
Total ticket sales for this jackpot generated approximately $4.1 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $21 billion to the EETF, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.
Pesce is the 34th FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot winner to purchase a winning ticket in Brevard County. To date, there have been more than 950 FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot winners statewide since 1988.
The next FLORIDA LOTTO drawing will be held on Saturday, May 8, at 11:15 p.m. ET with a $6 million jackpot. Webcasts of Florida Lottery drawings are available on the Lottery’s Web site at flalottery.com.
