Jeff Greene for U.S. Senate: Jeff Greene Statement on Today’s Jobs Report

July 2, 2010 Politics No Comments

Palm Beach, FL – Today, Jeff Greene, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate issued the following statement regarding June’s significant drop in job creation and economic recovery:

Said Jeff Greene:

“Today’s jobs report is disappointing but what’s worse is that earlier this week, Republican Senators blocked extending emergency unemployment benefits that would help millions of unemployed families pay their mortgages, put food on the table, and support their families. Now is not the time for Republicans to turn their backs on the millions of Americans who need help the most.

“Career politicians Kendrick Meek, Charlie Crist, and Marco Rubio have failed to stimulate our economy and create the jobs that Floridians need to provide for their families. I am running for United States Senate to give a voice to Florida’s working families in our nation’s capital. As the only candidate in the race who has proven experience creating jobs in the private sector and who is not embroiled in a corruption scandal, I am best qualified to go to Washington and help revitalize America’s economy and improve the quality of life for all Floridians.”
