Allen Boyd for Congress: This is what it’s all about!

July 6, 2010 Politics No Comments

So it’s been a few weeks since I joined the campaign and I wanted to give you an update on how things are coming along.  We’ve been traveling throughout the district and I’ve already had the opportunity to meet some great supporters along the way. People throughout North Florida are excited about our campaign, and volunteers are signing up everywhere we go!

As I mentioned to you in my last e-mail, the Watermelon Festival in Jefferson County is one of my favorite campaign events, and it delivered again this year.  Our campaign float was one of the best looking floats in the parade thanks to all the great volunteers who helped out.  Check out the picture I included in this e-mail.

There are some other great events coming up, like our campaign rally on July 10 in Tallahassee with former Florida Governor and U.S. Senator Bob Graham, and we’ll definitely need some volunteers to lend a hand.

We’re always looking for volunteers to help out at events and you can sign up by clicking here.

Over the next few weeks, we also need volunteers to host house parties and help with canvassing and phone banking.  We’ll be doing phone banking Monday through Saturday to reach out to voters about the important work that my dad is doing to move our economy forward, bring jobs to North Florida, and protect our coastline.  Just a few hours of your time calling voters or knocking on doors in your neighborhood will make a huge difference in this election.

Click here to sign up as a volunteer and pledge a few hours of your time for phone banking, canvassing, hosting a house party, or one of the other activities listed on our sign-up page.

We’ve got some great volunteers on our team and I can’t thank you enough for the support.

Sincerely,

David Boyd
