Kendrick Meek For U.S. Senate: Got a sec?

July 26, 2010 Politics No Comments

Real Democrats know what it takes to make progress – a whole grassroots community working together. That’s why my campaign went door-to-door and block-to-block to collect more than 140,000 signatures and qualify for the ballot. We have the network we need to win.

You can’t buy victory with your personal fortune, a mountain of special interest campaign cash, or out-of-state Tea Party money. But my opponents are going to try.

It’s up to the Florida grassroots to fight back. I need your help to keep knocking on the doors and running the TV ads that will win this race.

August 4 – nine days away – is the last fundraising deadline before the primary. We need to raise $50,000 online before that date in order to go on the air and stay there. Can you help us win with a contribution today?

Click here to rush $5 or more to my campaign. The other candidates will rely on special interest millions for victory. I’m relying on you.

Real Democrats know what it’s like to work hard every single day to put food on the table and give our kids a better life. That’s why I’ve always fought for high-paying, middle-class jobs and great public schools.

I’m the only candidate who has NOT run for elected office as a Republican. I’m the only one committed to protecting the environment, providing health care for all, and helping the unemployed get back to work.

That’s why I know the voters will make the right choice. All that’s missing is the grassroots resources we need to fully execute our strategy to win.

We’re just days away from the biggest deadline in this race so far, and I need you more than ever before. Don’t wait to do your part until it’s too late.

When I started this campaign, my mother gave me a piece of advice: Always stand with the people of Florida, and they will always stand with you.  She was right.

I have been so humbled by the grassroots energy for this campaign. I know you will give us all the resources we need to win.

Sincerely,

Kendrick Meek

May 15, 2012

By Greg Giordano Senator Mike Fasano and a few other like-minded legislators have filed an amicus brief on behalf of Progress Energy customers. The amicus brief (friend of the court) was prompted, in part, by a recent announcement by the utility that it is seeking permission from the Florida Public Service Commission to double its [...]

State Ombudsman Recognizes Volunteers During National Volunteer Week

April 16, 2012

By Jim Crochet, State Ombudsman To celebrate National Volunteer Week, I want to recognize the group of nearly 300 volunteer ombudsmen who give so much of their time and energy advocating for over 160,000 Floridians living in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and adult family-care homes. Residents in long-term care facilities represent our friends and [...]
