Alex Sink For Governor: A New Energy Future

July 28, 2010 Politics No Comments

As Floridians continue to deal with the devastating impact of the Gulf oil spill, there has never been a more critical moment to focus on a clean energy future.

That’s why Alex has unveiled a plan to make Florida a leader in clean energy and bring thousands of “green collar” jobs to our state.

It’s a plan that will finally create a real energy policy, ensure high-paying, sustainable jobs, and lower our energy costs.

But one of the most important pieces of Alex’s plan is making sure that Floridians have the information and incentives to live a more energy efficient life and reduce our energy costs. Because Alex knows that building a new energy future for Florida doesn’t only depend on a Governor with the right priorities…it also depends on you!

So we want to open it up to you. What are you doing right now to increase your energy efficiency?

Click here to read Alex’s energy plan and tell us what you’re doing to be energy-efficient.

We’ll take the best energy-efficiency ideas and post them on our campaign website for everyone to see.

We can make Florida the leader in the new energy economy, but we can only do it if we’re all working together.

Thank you for all your hard work,

Jim Cassady
Campaign Manager

State Ombudsman Recognizes Volunteers During National Volunteer Week

April 16, 2012

By Jim Crochet, State Ombudsman To celebrate National Volunteer Week, I want to recognize the group of nearly 300 volunteer ombudsmen who give so much of their time and energy advocating for over 160,000 Floridians living in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and adult family-care homes. Residents in long-term care facilities represent our friends and [...]
