TALLAHASSEE— Florida CFO Alex Sink’s Department of Financial Services is hosting a series of forums in honor of Women’s Small Business Month. In addition to representatives from the Department, partners include the Small Business Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, local colleges and universities, and chambers of commerce.
The forums, part of CFO Sink’s Family Fiscal Fitness initiative, begin TOMORROW and continue through the end of the month. Forums are being held in Stuart, North Cape Coral, Daytona Beach, Tampa and Jacksonville. So far this year, the Department has provided more than 380 free Family Fiscal Fitness workshops for families, seniors, students, and small businesses.
Following is the schedule for the Women’s Small Business Month forums:
October 20, 2010 – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Chastain Campus, Indian River State College, Wolf High Technology Center, 2400 SE Salerno Road, Stuart.
October 22, 2010 – 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., University of Central Florida-Daytona Beach, 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd., Bldg. 150, Room 101, Daytona Beach.
October 26, 2010 – 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Lee County Economic Development Center, 12800 University Drive #300, Lee County Economic Development Center, Fort Myers.
October 27, 2010 – 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Hillsborough County Lee Davis Neighborhood Service Center, 3402 N. 22nd Street, 2nd Floor Conference Room, Tampa.
October 29, 2010 – 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., FDLE Training Center, 921 North Davis Street, Building E, Jacksonville.
