TAMPA, Fla. — Pam Bondi, Republican nominee for Attorney General, today accepted the endorsement of the Board of the Florida Narcotics Association, representing more than 700 active members.
“In her 18 years of experience as a state prosecutor, Pam Bondi has proved she has what it takes to protect our state, our children and our families by prosecuting drug traffickers, gang crimes, and other terrible crimes,” said Lisa Croissant of the Florida Narcotics Officers Association. “Her tough-on-crime record and her commitment to protect victims is commendable, and we are confident she is the best choice for Florida’s next Attorney General.”
The Florida Narcotic Officers’ Association began as a spin-off of the Florida Sheriff’s Association Statewide Crack Cocaine Task Force and has become a leader in providing the highest quality training available today to the agencies and departments, as well as multi-agency contact to narcotics law enforcement officers throughout Florida.
“As a career prosecutor, I’ve put drug dealers and drug traffickers behind bars, and I’ve seen the devastating effects illegal drugs can have on our communities,” said Bondi. “As Attorney General, fighting drug-related crimes, including any gang-related offenses, will be a top priority and I’m honored to have the support of the Florida Narcotics Officers.”
In addition to the Board of the Florida Narcotics Association , over the past few weeks Bondi has secured endorsements from 35 current and former Florida Sheriffs, the Fraternal Order of Police, the Latino Officers Association Florida Political Action Committee, the Florida police chiefs, and the majority of the state attorneys.
