Attorney General’s Statement on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Pam Bondi today released the following
statement on the upcoming Martin Luther King, Jr. Day:

“On Monday, we will recognize a great leader in our nation’s history,
Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King was instrumental in showing how to lead
and to disagree with passion and civility.

“Dr. King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for
his work to end racial discrimination through civil disobedience and other
nonviolent means. His dedication to solving critical issues through
productive instead of destructive means is an inspiration to us all.

“I encourage all Floridians to join me in honoring Dr. King this Monday,
and in reflecting on the magnitude of what can be achieved through
dedication to solving tough issues while maintaining respect for others.”
