Enterprise Florida Shows Total Mission Expected Sales Nearly $40 Million
Tallahassee, FL – Enterprise Florida has released that the TEAM Florida South Africa Trade Mission that was led by Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll from November 4 – 13 will have total mission expected sales of nearly $40 million.
“The team of Florida businessmen and women who traveled on this mission was dedicated to producing sales and expanding opportunities for Florida’s future. I’m very proud that these companies capitalized on this trade opportunity to help to grow our state’s economy and grow well needed jobs. The hard work, dedication and achievements of these companies will reap big dividends for the people of Florida.” said Lt. Governor Carroll. “While our meetings with maritime, aerospace, airline, and space industry companies were focused on more immediate sales, the meetings with South African national and provincial government officials will lead to long-term partnerships and collaboration that will help expand Florida’s economy,” Carroll concluded.
“Florida’s long-term strategy in Africa relies on building relationships and strategic partnerships and trying to expand Florida’s the trade infrastructure. Port-to-port relations and airline flights were some of the objectives that Lt. Governor Carroll and her team promoted,” said Manny Mencia Enterprise Florida Sr. Vice President for International Trade and Business Development. “I am very pleased with the warm reception our Florida delegation received from the South African government and business partners. Building trusted relationships goes a long way in growing international trade and having the Lieutenant Governor alongside our Florida business partners, showed them the serious level of commitment Florida has in developing strong business ties with South Africa,” Mencia concluded.
