Governor, Putnam join Leon County Schools and Nopetro for natural gas station groundbreaking

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Governor Rick Scott and Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam will join Leon County Schools Superintendent Jackie Pons and Jorge Herrera, CEO and co-founder of Nopetro, for a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of Nopetro’s first Florida natural gas fueling station. The school district forged a visionary partnership with Nopetro through which will allow the district to transition its school bus fleets to natural gas, which is a cheaper, more abundant and a cleaner fuel source.
