Good Friends to Host 3rd Annual 6-hour Ride to Change the Future, Rider Recruitment Underway

Open House Set for Information, Sign Up and Training

TALLAHASSEE: In a 6 hour time period, 10 women will die from Ovarian Cancer. In
May, Good Friends Group Fitness and the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of North Florida will
once again host a 6-hour indoor spinning ride to help raise funds in their honor.
Joining a national effort called Ovarian Cycle, a non-profit foundation that sponsors the
annual wellness program “Ride to Change the Future”, registered riders will have access
to training for the weeks prior to the 100-virtual-mile, indoor bike ride. Trainings are
held on Saturday mornings.

Funds raised will remain in Florida and will be donated to the Florida Hospital in Orlando
for research of an early diagnostic test. Participating cities for 2012 include: Atlanta,
GA, Birmingham, AL, New York, NY, Tallahassee, FL and Seattle, WA. The Ovarian
Cancer Alliance of North Florida, founded by a local ovarian cancer survivor, Kelly J.
Smith and Good Friends Group Fitness have teamed up to bring this exciting event to
Tallahassee for the third year in a row. The past two years have raised almost
$30,000.

Open House Info: Saturday, April 14th 8:30am-1:30pm, Sunday, April 15th 1-
4:30pm.

Where: Good Friends Group Fitness, 1391 E Lafayette Street (The Parkway District -
across from Gov Square Mall)

Ride info – When: Sunday, May 30, 2012: registration begins at 9:00am – ride starts
at 10:00 am. Last hour, family & friends unite – 3:00pm-4:00pm

What: Kids & supporters activities, food and games in addition to the ride

HOW: Individual Riders can do the whole 6 hours or ride as a team of anywhere of 2-6
people. Riders register at www.Ovariancycle.org or www.goodfriendsfitness.com.
