Statement from Governor Rick Scott Regarding James Cooper and James Kouzaris

Tallahassee, Fla. – “I was saddened to learn of the deaths of British tourists James Cooper and James Kouzaris last April when they were visiting Florida. Following this tragedy, I talked to their families and continued to monitor the situation closely. While justice prevailed today as the man who took their lives was sentenced to life in prison, my condolences and prayers continue to go to the victims’ families.”
