11 Months of Job Creation

Dear Friend,

Florida is getting back to work! Last Friday the new unemployment numbers were announced, and they showed that our state has had 11 consecutive months of job growth. Now I am happy to report that unemployment is at a 3 year low!

These job growth trends are a result of our reducing regulation, easing the tax burden on small businesses and delivering two consecutive balanced state budgets without tax increases.

To ensure our job growth continues, I signed my 2012 Job Creation and Economic Growth Agenda into law. The passage of my jobs agenda is a tremendous victory for Florida’s families and businesses and will ensure private-sector jobs can continue to grow. My jobs package, combined with an additional $1 billion for K-12 education, will have an important impact on all Floridians, and I thank the Florida Legislature for recognizing the valuable contributions this legislation will make toward growing businesses and jobs in our state.
