Enjoy More Prizes and Higher Payouts with the Florida Lottery’s Fantasy 5® EZMATCH™ Promotion

April 16, 2012 Government No Comments

TALLAHASSEE – Just in time for spring, the Florida Lottery’s EZmatch™ promotion is back! For a limited time, players who purchase FANTASY 5® with EZmatch tickets could win up to $1,000 instantly.

From Monday, April 16, through Sunday, May 27, 2012, the EZmatch top prize will double from $500 to $1,000 and the second prize from $250 to $500! EZmatch players will also enjoy an increased minimum prize from $2 to $5. Plus, the number of $500 instant-win prizes will be increased throughout the six-week promotion.

EZmatch is an optional play feature of FANTASY 5 that allows players the chance to win cash instantly for an additional $1 per play. When players choose EZmatch on the FANTASY 5 playslip, a list of five EZmatch numbers, and prize amounts for each, will print below the FANTASY 5 numbers on the ticket. If any of the EZmatch numbers matches any of the FANTASY 5 numbers on the ticket, players will instantly win the corresponding cash amount.
All EZmatch prizes of less than $600 may be redeemed at any Florida Lottery retailer. Prizes of $600 or more must be claimed at a Florida Lottery district office. If an EZmatch prize is paid by a retailer before the applicable FANTASY 5 drawing on the ticket has occurred, a continuation ticket will be provided to the player for the FANTASY 5 drawing. EZmatch prizes may be claimed up to 180 days after the first draw date on the FANTASY 5 with EZmatch ticket. FANTASY 5 drawings are held seven days a week, at 11:15 p.m., ET. Webcasts of Florida Lottery drawings are available on the Lottery’s website at www.flalottery.com.

ABOUT THE FLORIDA LOTTERY

Florida voters, by a two-to-one margin, approved a constitutional amendment in 1986 authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education. To date, the Florida Lottery has funded Bright Futures scholarships for more than 550,000 Florida students to attend college in our state. Floridians continue to show their support by purchasing billions of dollars in Lottery products per year, resulting in contributions of more than $23 billion to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund since 1988.
