Despite Economic Downturn, Florida Insurance Association Thriving
Success resulted in FAIA’s unprecedented growth
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – For the first time in its history, the Florida Association of Insurance Agents membership has topped 2,000 agencies. This growth bucks the trend of declining membership in most other states and nationally, and occurs despite a challenging economy and industry consolidation. It’s even more remarkable given that in 1998, FAIA’s membership comprised just 1,000 agency members.
FAIA’s accomplishment is a reflection of the success of its members, who continue to persevere despite a very challenging Florida insurance market. It is also testament to the incredible resource independent agents have developed in FAIA.
“FAIA has a long and storied history,” said Jeff Grady, president and CEO of FAIA, which celebrates its 108th anniversary this year. “We look forward to working on behalf of independent agents for many more years to come.”
FAIA, headquartered in Tallahassee, serves the needs of Florida insurance agents and consumers by promoting a healthy and competitive insurance environment.
