Enterprise Florida Selects Nancy Blum-Heintz for Strategic Marketing-Communications Role

ORLANDO, FL (June 8, 2012) Nancy Blum-Heintz has joined Enterprise Florida as vice president of Strategic Alignment & Communications.

Based in Tallahassee, Blum-Heintz moved into this newly created position after serving as chief communications officer for the Department of Economic Opportunity. For DEO, she oversaw all aspects of its communications, working closely with Enterprise Florida and Workforce Florida on a regular basis.

Blum-Heintz’s new position, which functions from Enterprise Florida’s Marketing & Communications department, is responsible for facilitating job-creation marketing activities and developing scheduling opportunities with the Executive Office of the Governor and state agencies.

Before joining DEO upon its inception last year, Blum-Heintz spent six years as external affairs director for the Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection, managing the communications office and the offices of Public Outreach and Education, Environmental Education and Sustainable Initiatives. Other prior positions were with the Florida Department of Health, Florida State University Foundation and Central Florida Sports Commission.

A Vero Beach, Fla. native, Blum-Heintz earned a degree in English from Florida State University in 1996.
