COLLEGE OF MEDICINE TO HOST BRIEFING ON SUPREME COURT HEALTH-CARE DECISION

The Florida State University College of Medicine will hold an informal Brown Bag Lunch to promote understanding of the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Care Act.

Experts in health policy, public health and law from the colleges of Medicine and Law at Florida State have been invited to participate.

The discussion will be led by Professor Marshall Kapp, director of the Center for Innovative Collaboration in Medicine and Law at FSU. Kapp, who holds degrees in both law and public health, will provide an overview of the recent legal ruling before opening up the floor for discussion.

Media are welcome to conduct interviews prior to or after the discussion. The event also is available via live webcast at http://lectures.med.fsu.edu/.

TALLAHASSEE, FLA.

Directions: From downtown, travel west on Tennessee Street and turn left on Stadium Drive. The College of Medicine is located on the corner of Stadium Drive and Call Street. Limited media parking will be available in a parking lot located off of Call Street between the College of Medicine and the Psychology Building. Additional parking is available in the parking garage on the corner of Stadium Drive and Spirit Way.
