Governor Scott Appoints Lynn D. Rosenthal to the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court
Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Lynn D. Rosenthal, of Coral Springs, to the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court.
Rosenthal, 54, has been an Assistant United States Attorney since 1985. In that capacity, she has prosecuted international drug trafficking, money laundering, human smuggling, firearms trafficking, arson, tax fraud, bank fraud, bank robbery and many other federal crimes. She has also served in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office. From 1981 through 1985, she was an associate attorney at private law firms. Rosenthal received bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Florida.
“As a federal prosecutor, Lynn has litigated a wide range of significant cases and gained invaluable trial experience,” Governor Scott said. “I am confident that she will be an asset to the bench in the Seventeenth Circuit.”
Rosenthal will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Susan Greenhawt.
