WHAT: Serving in public office is an incredibly important form of civic and community engagement, yet women remain seriously underrepresented in national, statewide and local public offices. Women Can Run! is a free, nonpartisan program tailored to women who may consider running for elected office or working on a political campaign in the future. The event will feature a host of local public officials, as well as media and campaign experts from throughout the Big Bend area. WHERE: City Hall, 300 South Adams Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301 WHEN: Saturday, July 21, 2012; 8:00 AM-3:00 PM WHO: Women Can Run! is presented by The Oasis Center for Women and Girls in partnership with Leadership Tallahassee and the League of Women Voters of Florida.
