Governor Rick Scott Appoints Five to Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission
Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced four appointments and one reappointment to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
Gary T. Calhoun, 49, of Madison, is the chief of police for the City of Madison. He succeeds Brian K. Lock and is appointed for a term beginning July 24, 2012, and ending August 1, 2015.
Greg S. Hutching, 39, of Chipley, is the criminal justice training center director at Washington-Holmes Technical Center. He succeeds James C. Brock, Jr., and is appointed for a term beginning August 1, 2012, and ending August 1, 2016.
William “Jay” Romine, 51, of Bradenton, is the chief of police for the City of Holmes Beach. He succeeds Dennis M. Jones and is appointed for a term beginning July 24, 2012, and ending August 1, 2014.
Sheriff David B. Shoar, 50, of St. Augustine, is the Sheriff of St. Johns County. He succeeds Sheriff Ric L. Bradshaw and is appointed for a term beginning August 10, 2012, and ending August 1, 2016.
Steven Steinberg, 64, of Davie, is the chief of police for the Aventura Police Department. He is reappointed for a term beginning August 1, 2012, and ending August 1, 2016.
