Workshop for Seniors
Floridians 65 and over are in their “Golden Years” and they just want to relax and enjoy retirement. However, in 2010, more than 3.5 million households headed by people 50 and older experienced identity theft, according to the Bureau of Justice. Those are staggering statistics that unfortunately are getting worse, not better. Now more than ever Seniors will need to identify current trends and future strategies for financial security.
To help, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater and the Department of Financial Services
The Golden Rules for Your Golden Years Workshops will be held in St. Pete, Boca Raton, The Villages, Sarasota, and Ft. Myers during August. Each workshop is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to noon, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.
