PRESS ADVISORY: Purple Heart Day Legislation

TALLAHASSEE – Florida, home to one of the largest number of military veterans in the country, will now have a day set aside to honor Purple Heart recipients. The Senate sponsor of the “Purple Heart Day” legislation – Senator Maria Sachs (D-Delray) will be on hand to mark August 7th at the Capitol on Tuesday and witness the signing of her legislation. She will be joined by a host of Purple Heart recipients.

The event will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 412 Knott Building, in Tallahassee.
