FDLE Agents Arrest Springhill Man for Child Pornography

NEWS RELEASE FDLE agents arrest Hernando County man for child pornography

TAMPA – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center arrested Joseph Costa, 59, of 14111 Newcastle Avenue in Springhill on 3 counts of possession of child pornography, a level three felony.

FDLE Agents from the Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center’s Brooksville Field Office, agents with Department of Homeland Security, along with deputies from Hernando County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the warrant execution and arrest after finding images of child pornography.

According to agents, several computers were seized and will undergo additional forensic evaluation to determine if additional charges will be filed.

Costa was arrested without incident and booked into the Hillsborough County jail. This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 13th Judicial Circuit.
