ODD NUMBERS DRAWN IN FANTASY 5(r) GAME SETS NEW RECORD FOR FLORIDA LOTTERY

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Lottery announced today that 98 players matched all five winning numbers in last night’s FANTASY 5(r) drawing, setting a new record for the most winners in a single draw since the game matrix changed to 5 of 36 in July 2001. Ninety-seven of the 98 winners picked their own numbers, and only one was a Quick Pick ticket. The winning FANTASY 5 numbers were: 01-03-05-07-09.

The winners will share a $195,541 top prize. In addition, more than 119,000 other FANTASY 5 players won cash prizes or a free Quick Pick ticket for matching two, three or four numbers. The next FANTASY 5 drawing will be held tonight at 11:15 p.m., ET. Webcasts of Florida Lottery drawings are available on the Lottery’s website.

FANTASY 5 is a pari-mutuel game in which players win the top prize by matching 5-of-5 winning numbers drawn in any order. Additionally, players win cash prizes or a free Quick Pick ticket by matching two, three or four of the numbers drawn in the official drawing for the date played. If there is no top prize winner, the money in the top prize pool rolls down and is shared among players who match 4-of-5 or 3-of-5 winning numbers.

Since the game’s inception, more than 532 million FANTASY 5 winners have won more than $3.4 billion in prizes. Of these, 47,806 players won top prizes totaling more than $2 billion.
