PSC to Participate in Alternative Fuel Vehicle Roadshow
TALLAHASSEE — Recognizing the benefits of reducing use and dependence on fossil fuels, Florida’s Public Service Commission (PSC) will participate in alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) showcase events in Tallahassee and Jacksonville this month.
“Florida’s diverse energy mix of coal, nuclear, gas and other sources has benefited our citizens with lower energy prices, cleaner energy development, and job creation,” said PSC Chairman Ronald A. Brisé. “Helping to raise public awareness and highlighting alternative fuel vehicles is a natural next step in our fuel diversification efforts that can further enhance these benefits.”
Each event will feature cars, buses, and trucks powered by electricity, natural gas, propane, and biofuels. Presentations by manufacturers and power producers will provide the benefits, costs, and infrastructure needed to make these transportation solutions a reality for consumers, industry, and government.
AFV Roadshow events will occur statewide from September 18–27. PSC Commissioner Eduardo Balbis will participate in the Tallahassee event on September 20, and Chairman Brisé will participate in the Jacksonville showcase on September 21. These event times and locations follow:
