Senator Maria Sachs to Join Pompano Beach Mayor Lamar Fisher of Pompano Beach to Announce Commercial Parasailing Safety Bill

POMPANO BEACH – On Monday, September 10, 2012, Senator Maria Sachs (D-Delray) will join Mayor Lamar Fisher of Pompano Beach to announce a proposed bill that will improve the safety of commercial parasailing operations around the State of Florida. The bill, to be titled the White-Miskell Bill, will be named for Kathleen Miskell who died in a parasailing accident earlier this month and Amber White, a 15-year-old girl who lost her life in a parasailing accident in Pompano Beach in 2007.

A press conference will be held Monday, September 10th at 2 p.m. at the Pompano Beach City Hall, 100 West Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach.
