Arrest made in Taylor County death
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Office Tallahassee Regional Operations Center, and the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office today arrested Raymond Mark Lee, 41, of Perry, Fla., for one count of murder in the death of Derek Lamont Dixon, 44. The Perry Police Department also provided assistance with this investigation.
The investigation began Sunday after hunters discovered the body of Dixon off of Highway 98 in Taylor County.
Investigators conducted an extensive investigation which led them to 203 Puckett Road, Perry, Fla. and made contact with the suspect, late last night. While at the scene, information was developed which implicated Lee in the death of Dixon. Lee was arrested without incident.
The cause of death is not being released at this time.
Lee was booked into Taylor County Jail.
