FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ISSUES SUSPENSION AND RESTRICTION ORDERS
-Division of Medical Quality Assurance issues 27 ESO/EROs in past 30 days-

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Department of Health (DOH) has issued 27 Emergency Suspension Orders (ESOs), Emergency Restriction Orders (EROs), Final Orders and Administrative Complaints for serious violations relating to the commission of crimes, standard of care, drug use, or for student loan defaults.

Emergency suspension or restriction orders are not considered final agency action, but are imposed as specified by section 456.074, Florida Statutes. The individual is entitled to a hearing before final action is taken by a regulatory board or by DOH.
