TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery’s new $25 Scratch-Off game, MILLIONAIRE, will go on sale Tuesday, September 25, 2012. This special 25th Anniversary Edition MILLIONAIRE ticket, reminiscent of the Lottery’s first Scratch-Off ticket, offers 25 prizes from $1 million to $5 million and the highest prize payout percentage ever in Florida Lottery history.

The launch of the MILLIONAIRE ticket begins a year-long 25th anniversary celebration by the Florida Lottery to give back to our players with the best overall odds of any Scratch-Off game currently available, and the highest prize payout percentage ever with more than five million winning tickets.

From September 25 through December 11, players will be able to enter their non-winning MILLIONAIRE tickets in a 25th Anniversary MILLIONAIRE Second Chance Promotion on the Lottery’s website. In each of the five Second Chance drawings, the first prize winner will be awarded a trip for two to the Lottery’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, where all five winners will participate in a live MILLIONAIRE Million Dollar Giveaway. Four of the five will each win $250,000 and one lucky player will win $1 million during a live on-stage reveal.

The Florida Lottery offers more than 60 Scratch-Off games at any given time through vending machines and counter displays at more than 13,000 retailers statewide. Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, making up approximately 58 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $495 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2011-12.
