Governor Rick Scott and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley Place Wager on FSU and Clemson Game

Tallahassee, Fla. – It’s fresh Florida Key Lime pie versus South Carolina BBQ as Governor Rick Scott and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley place a friendly wager on the outcome of Saturday night’s Florida State Seminole and Clemson Tiger football game in Tallahassee.

“Our high schools, universities and NFL teams have proven time and time again that Florida is the number one state for football, and there is no doubt the Noles will win this weekend,” said Governor Scott. “I really appreciate Governor Haley taking part in this wager and look forward to enjoying some BBQ from her great state.”

“With college football season in full swing and two South Carolina teams ranked in the top 10, it was great to hear from my friend and fellow college football fan Gov. Rick Scott. When he called and started talking smack about the Clemson-Florida State game, I told him I had confidence in Coach Dabo Swinney and the Tigers, who represent our state well and make us proud, and I was happy to put a friendly wager on the game,” said Governor Nikki Haley.
