Yom Kippur Message, September 25, 2012
Hi, this is Governor Rick Scott.
As the sun sets this evening, Florida’s Jewish community will begin observing its most holy day of the year, Yom Kippur. This is a solemn day of introspection and contemplation. It is a day that reminds us all that through forgiveness, prayer, and charity we possess the ability to remake our communities, our state, and our world.
Ann and I would like to wish an easy fast to all Floridians observing Yom Kippur. May you and your loved ones be sealed in the book of life for a happy, healthy, and prosperous year.
