JOIN THE FLORIDA LOTTERY’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AND PLAY NEW SEPTEMBER SCRATCH-OFF GAMES WITH HUGE TOP PRIZES!

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery has five new Scratch-Off games going on sale today, including the 25th Anniversary Edition of MILLIONAIRE, WILD 7’S, PLATINUM CRO$$WORD, LUCKY DOLLARS, and HOT CHILI TRIPLER. The games feature more than $390 million in total cash prizes. All Lottery retailers are expected to have these new tickets in stock and available for purchase within 48 hours.

A special 25th Anniversary Scratch-Off ticket reminiscent of the Lottery’s very first Scratch-Off game, MILLIONAIRE, is being launched in celebration of 25 years of the Florida Lottery giving back to players. The game features over $290 million in total cash prizes, including 25 prizes ranging from $1 million to $5 million, and the highest prize payout percentage ever in Florida Lottery history. This ticket features one-in-2.87 overall odds of winning, the best overall odds of any Scratch-Off game currently available from the Florida Lottery.

As an added bonus, players will have the opportunity to enter their non-winning MILLIONAIRE tickets in the 25th Anniversary MILLIONAIRE Second Chance Promotion on the Lottery’s website, for a chance to be one of five finalists to win a trip to the Florida Lottery’s January 12, 2013, Anniversary Celebration event. One lucky player will win $1 million and four players will each win $250,000. The 25th Anniversary MILLIONAIRE Second Chance Promotion will feature five drawings between October 10 and December 12, 2012. For more information, visit the Florida Lottery website.

For just $5, players have the chance to win up to $250,000 with the WILD 7’S Scratch-Off game. The game features more than $28 million in total cash prizes, and the overall odds are one-in-3.99.

The $3 Scratch-Off game, PLATINUM CRO$$WORD, offers players the chance to win up to $50,000, and features more than 4.3 million winning tickets. The overall odds of winning are one-in-4.13.

The $2 Scratch-Off game, LUCKY DOLLARS, features more than $21 million in total cash prizes and the overall odds of winning are one-in-4.36.

For only $1, players have the chance to win one of 256 $1,000 prizes with HOT CHILI TRIPLER. The overall odds of winning are one-in-4.80.
The Florida Lottery offers approximately 60 Scratch-Off games at any given time through vending machines or counter displays at more than 13,000 retailers statewide. Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, making up approximately 58 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $495 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2011-12.
