Latest Local Pension Research from LeRoy Collins Institute to be Released
~ Report finds many local pension issues not caused by the economic downturn~

Tallahassee, Fla. – The LeRoy Collins Institute (LCI) will host a press conference to release Years in the Making: Florida’s Underfunded Municipal Pension Plans, a report that analyzes trends in municipal pension plans across the state on Wednesday September 26, 2012 at 9:45 a.m. Using data from 2005-2011, Years in the Making provides the latest and most in-depth look at the health of Florida pensions. Pivotal findings show that the unfunded condition of most municipal pension plans began well before the downturn in the stock market.
