PSC to Consider Proposed FPL Settlement Agreement

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold a non-evidentiary hearing Thursday, September 27 and Friday, September 28 to consider the Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) proposed Settlement Agreement (Agreement). This hearing is a continuance of the August technical hearing for FPL’s request for a base rate increase. FPL, the Florida Industrial Power Users Group, South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association, and the Federal Executive Agencies signed the Agreement.

On March 19, FPL filed a petition with the PSC for a base rate increase. FPL provides electric service to more than 4.5 million retail customers in all or parts of 35 Florida counties.

The hearing is scheduled for the following times and location:
