WEST PALM BEACH MAN TAKES HOME $2 MILLION POWERBALL® WITH POWER PLAY® PRIZE

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that Robert M. Leach, 41, of West Palm Beach, claimed a $2 million POWERBALL® prize from the September 29th drawing. Leach’s winning ticket was purchased from Publix, located at 4075 North Haverhill Road in West Palm Beach. The retailer received a $5,000 bonus commission for selling the $2 million POWERBALL with Power Play® ticket.

Leach is the 10th Florida player to become a POWERBALL multi-millionaire since January when improvements were made to the POWERBALL game, including increasing the prize from $1 million to $2 million for matching 5 of 5 winning numbers on a POWERBALL with Power Play ticket. In total, Florida players have won 62 POWERBALL prizes of $1 million or more.

The next POWERBALL drawing will be held tonight, October 3, at 10:59 p.m. ET with a $50 million jackpot. National POWERBALL drawings are broadcast live, in high-definition, from the Florida Lottery’s state of the art draw studio in Tallahassee, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Winning numbers are available on the Lottery website, at retailers statewide and by phone at (850) 921-PLAY.
