Governor Rick Scott Appoints Two to Second District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission
Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Hunter H. Chamberlin and Thomas H. Dart to the Second District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission.
Chamberlin, 40, of Tampa, has practiced with Chamberlin Crowe, PA since 2009. Previously, he practiced with the Robbins Law Firm from 2005-2009 and was an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office from 2001-2005. Since 2011, Chamberlin has served as an Adjunct Professor at St. Petersburg College. He received his bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College and his law degree from the University of Miami. He succeeds Anthony Martino and is appointed for a term beginning October 11, 2012, and ending July 1, 2016.
Dart, 60, of Sarasota, has practiced with Adams and Reese LLP since 2010. Previously he practiced with Ruden, McCloskey, PA from 1995-2009. Dart has held multiple positions including president, vice president, and treasurer of the Sarasota County Bar Association since 1977. He succeeds David M. Caldevilla and is appointed for a term beginning October 11, 2012, and ending July 1, 2016. He is appointed from the list of nominees submitted by the Florida Bar.
