WHAT THEY ARE SAYING…
Business Leaders Applaud Gov. Scott’s Initiative Doubling Quick Response Training Funding

Tom Feeney, CEO and President of Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) said, “We applaud the Governor’s commitment to growing jobs in Florida. Many businesses are hiring, but need skilled talent to grow jobs. Through the Governor’s initiative in expanding worker training funding, Florida workers will be better positioned to compete for businesses that want to grow.”

David Hart, Executive Vice President of the Florida Chamber of Commerce said, “Florida’s Workforce System recently earned the No. 1 ranking for its workforce training in the Enterprising States report released by the U. S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Chamber Foundation. By investing more into the Florida Chamber-backed Quick Response Training program, Gov. Scott is continuing his efforts to reduce Florida’s unemployment rate by putting more Floridians back to work and improving out state’s economy.”

Bill Herrle, Florida Executive Director of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) said, “Businesses across Florida are ready to hire and expand, but they need access to a skilled workforce that can meet their needs. The Governor’s proposal to boost funding for workforce training will create a more experienced workforce, which will better position Florida to attract businesses, support local businesses and compete with companies from around the world.”
