Background Conference Call Regarding 2009 Food Code Adoption

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation will hold a background information conference call for statewide media tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. regarding the upcoming adoption of the 2009 Food Code. The conference call is intended to provide reporters with information on the updates to the inspection process in Florida.

The updates to the inspection processes and the 2009 Food Code are part of regular updates by the Division and the Department to ensure the state’s regulation of the industries is streamlined and efficient. The updates will lead to more efficient and smarter regulations which will improve restaurants’ inspection process, ultimately allowing them to better serve their customers.
