Study Committee on Water & Wastewater Utilities to Hold Conference Call on Wednesday

TALLAHASSEE – The Study Committee on Investor-Owned Water & Wastewater Utility Systems (Committee) will meet via conference call at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19. Interested members of the public are invited to attend, listen, or view the meeting online.

Established by the 2012 Florida Legislature, the Committee is addressing issues of concern to investor-owned water and wastewater utility systems, particularly small systems and their customers, and researching possible solutions. The Committee is gathering information for a report required to be submitted to the Governor, the Senate President, and the Speaker of the House by February 15, 2013.

Chaired by Florida Public Service Commissioner Julie I. Brown, the Committee includes 17 representatives from the Florida Legislature, state agencies, state and local governments, and investor-owned water utilities and their customers.
