Attorney General Bondi Sponsors Resolution Recognizing January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –Attorney General Pam Bondi’s statement on the National Human Trafficking Awareness Month Resolution presented during today’s Governor and Cabinet meeting:

“In 2011, the National Human Trafficking Resource Center ranked Florida third in the number of calls received by the center’s human trafficking hotline,” stated Attorney General Bondi. “National Human Trafficking Awareness Month is an opportunity for local, state, and federal leaders to work together to raise awareness about efforts to combat human trafficking.”

Suspected cases of human trafficking should be reported to local law enforcement or the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 888-373-7888. For more information on Attorney General Bondi’s efforts to fight human trafficking, visit MyFloridaLegal.com.
