THE LIFE FAMILY OF SCRATCH-OFF GAMES IS BACK
TALLAHASSEE – Beginning February 5, Florida Lottery players will have another chance to be lucky for life with the return of the LIFE Family of Scratch-Off games. These games offer a chance to win $500, $1,000, $2,500, or even $5,000 a week for life!
The LIFE Family of Games is back and better than ever with the addition of the $10 game, $5,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE, which offers more than $89 million in prizes, including a top prize of $5,000 a week for life, guaranteed for 20 years. This game features the largest top prize of any $10 Florida Lottery Scratch-Off game!
“We are delighted to bring back games that our players love,” said Florida Lottery Secretary Cynthia O’Connell. “The LIFE Family of Games attracts players with its unique top prizes that pay out for the duration of the winner’s life.”
The first LUCKY FOR LIFE-themed Scratch-Off game was introduced 17 years ago with the launch of WIN FOR LIFE, a $2 game. It performed so well that it was reintroduced in 1999 and 2000. In 2004, the $10 game SET FOR LIFE was launched, offering $5,000 a year for life top prizes. Later, the first $20 LUCKY FOR LIFE ticket offering $100,000 a year for life top prizes was introduced. Throughout the years the LIFE family has become one of the Lottery’s best-selling families of Scratch-Off games.
The Florida Lottery offers more than 60 Scratch-Off games at any given time through vending machines and counter displays at more than 13,000 retailers statewide. Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, making up approximately 58 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $495 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2011-12.
