Florida State University Schools to Host Capital Campaign Kickoff Event

TALLHASSEE, FLA. – Florida State University Schools (FSUS) will open their doors to the public for their capital campaign kickoff event showcasing the schools’ advancements in research and other groundbreaking projects.

Participants will have the opportunity to tour the FSUS campus, learn about programs and discover how FSUS has successfully fostered student development. The event will also celebrate the recent launch of three new facility projects – the Media Center Expansion, the Performing Arts Auditorium and the Sport Sciences Research Center.

These three facilities will provide essential classroom, library and media space, and expand opportunities for collaboration with Florida State in the area of sports sciences, music and performing arts. The goal of this campaign is to give current and future students the competitive edge to compete with their peers state-wide in academics and athletics and to provide a well-rounded experience from kindergarten through high school graduation.

“Current parents and community members interested in our vision for the school’s future and alumni looking to get more involved in their alma mater will greatly benefit from attending this exciting event,” said Lynn Wicker, Director of Florida State University Schools.
