Governor Rick Scott Appoints Two to the Edison State College District Board of Trustees

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Tristan “Tris” Chapman and the reappointment of Julia Perry to the Edison State College District Board of Trustees.

Chapman, 63, of LaBelle, is the vice president and general manager of Southern Gardens Citrus. He previously served as a Commissioner on the Hendry County Board of County Commissioners and was a Commissioner on the Florida Citrus Commission. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Florida. He succeeds Randall Parrish and is appointed for a term beginning February 22, 2013, and ending May 22, 2016.

Perry, 71, of Moore Haven, is a retired school librarian. Perry received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and also obtained a Florida Teaching Certificate. She is reappointed for a term beginning February 22, 2013, and ending May 22, 2016.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
