House Democratic Leader Perry Thurston and Democratic Whip Alan Williams Announce House Democratic Deputy Whips

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – House Democratic Leader Perry Thurston (D-Plantation) and House Democratic Whip Alan Williams (D-Tallahassee) today announced the appointment of Representatives Lori Berman, Reggie Fullwood, José Rodríguez, Hazelle Rogers, and Joe Saunders as Democratic Deputy Whips.

Leader Thurston stated: “I am pleased to appoint each of these outstanding public servants who have demonstrated qualities of leadership, organization and a rigorous work ethic that are essential to the task of Deputy Whip. I look forward to working with these members more closely this year in their new assignment.”

Representative Williams added: “Leader Thurston and I are happy to congratulate Representatives Berman, Fullwood, Rodríguez, Rogers, and Saunders for agreeing to serve our caucus and the residents of Florida. Deputy whips are an important position, which includes the careful review of all legislation that comes before the Florida House of Representatives. Their task also involves counting votes and communicating the Democratic Caucus position to other Caucus members. I am confident that we have assembled an effective and great team.”
