WHERE WILL THE $ GO?
Alex Sink’s “Money Man” In 2006 Was Charlie Crist’s Democratic Fundraiser In 2010 … Who Will He Choose In 2014?
THE TAMPA BAY TIMES – JUNE 23, 2010
Alex Sink’s 2006 “Money Man” Helped Charlie Crist’s 2010 U.S. Senate Campaign Raise Money From Democrats. “A Tampa lawyer and Democratic fundraiser who worked as finance director of Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink’s successful 2006 campaign, Jeff Lieser, is telling donors that he has put his law practice on hold to oversee Gov. Charlie Crist’s ‘Democratic fundraising efforts.’ Crist has been stepping up his Democratic outreach since he left the Republican party two months ago to run for the U.S. Senate as an independent. Lieser is circulating an invitation to a fundraiser Thursday in Parkland at the home of Howard Dvorkin, founder of Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, who has been linked to indicted fundraiser Alan Mendelsohn.” (Adam C. Smith, “Former Alex Sink Money Man Helping Charlie Crist,” The Tampa Bay Times, 6/23/10)
DOES THIS DEMOCRATIC FUNDRAISER “RESENT” CRIST AS MUCH AS ALEX SINK DOES?
Sink “Resents” Crist. “[Alex Sink] resents all the attention on lifelong-Republican-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist and is intent on being courted for as long as possible. She resents Crist so much, his expected candidacy would ensure she jumps in.” (Adam C. Smith, “Don’t Write Off Alex Sink Running For Florida Governor Just Yet,” The Tampa Bay Times, 6/19/13)
Sink “Revolted” By Potential “Disaster” Of Crist Nomination As Dem.“[Sink was] revolted by the prospect of Crist as the Democratic nominee. ‘A disaster’ is how she described the possibility.” (Adam C. Smith, “Don’t Write Off Alex Sink Running For Florida Governor Just Yet,” The Tampa Bay Times, 6/19/13)
