TALLAHASSEE – Florida Lottery players now have a chance to win a guaranteed $53 million FLORIDA LOTTO® jackpot in Saturday’s drawing. The last time the game’s jackpot was this high was nearly six years ago, when four players shared the $53 million jackpot from the August 25, 2007, drawing. In 25 years, 1,025 FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot winners have won more than $5.6 billion in prizes.
The FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot has rolled 33 times since the April 24 drawing. This series has produced 3.4 million winning tickets totaling more than $29 million in prizes for players and is expected to generate approximately $47 million for education in Florida!
Jackpot prizes are paid in 30 annual installments or as a one-time, lump-sum payment. Jackpot winners have 60 days after the draw to select the lump-sum payment option. Winners must claim their prizes within 180 days from the applicable drawing.
A Florida Lottery retailer who sells a jackpot-winning ticket for this drawing will receive a bonus incentive of $175,000. In the event of multiple winners, retailers will share the bonus incentive.
