Daytona Beach, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony today for the Sand Blaster Rollercoaster on Daytona Beach’s boardwalk. The coaster measures 85’ tall, 2710’ long and takes passengers on a thrilling ride with speeds up to 40 mph. With Florida projected to have another record year of tourism, the Sand Blaster Roller Coaster will attract more visitors to Daytona Beach.
Governor Scott said, “With Florida tourism on pace for a third consecutive record year, the Sand Blaster Rollercoaster in Daytona Beach will help Florida continue to attract visitors from all across the globe. Over 23 million people visited the Sunshine State between April and June this year – it’s clear that Florida is open for business.”
