Governor Rick Scott Appoints Five to Board of Respiratory Care

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced two appointments and three reappointments to the Board of Respiratory Care.

Michele A. Grassi, 63, of Boca Raton, is a pulmonary clinical education specialist with South Miami Hospital. She fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning August 28, 2013, and ending October 31, 2015.

Morfia-Joy Nunez, 51, of Ocala, is a certified respiratory therapist with Munroe Regional Medical Center. She succeeds Kevin Barrett and is appointed for a term beginning August 28, 2013, and ending October 31, 2015.

Delbert R. Fields, 60, of Bradenton, is a respiratory therapist with BayCare Home Care. He is reappointed for a term beginning August 28, 2013, and ending October 31, 2014.

Peter J. Hendriksen, 56, of New Port Richey, is the director of cardiopulmonary services with Town and Country Hospital. He is reappointed for a term beginning August 28, 2013, and ending October 31, 2014.

Bayyinah M. Sherrod, 40, of Oviedo, is a registered respiratory therapist with Orlando Health. She is reappointed for a term beginning August 28, 2013, and ending October 31, 2015.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
