Registration for the 2013 Marquee Event Opens Today
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – On October 17-18, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, chairman of the Foundation for Excellence in Education, will host the organization’s 2013 National Summit on Education Reform. Now in its sixth year, the Foundation’s flagship initiative annually convenes the best and brightest from across America and around the world to share strategies to improve the quality of education for all children. Registration for the 2013 marquee event opens today.
“During the last several decades, too many children have been failed by education systems and bureaucracies that have left them unprepared for college or a high-paying job, especially in today’s competitive, high-tech global economy. Thankfully, states across the nation and countries around the globe are adopting innovative, student-centered solutions that serve as models for raising academic achievement,” said Governor Bush. “The Foundation for Excellence in Education looks forward to convening education reform leaders this fall as we take on the biggest challenges and opportunities in education today.”
Governor Bush will open the summit with a breakfast keynote on October 17. The rest of the two-day event includes keynote and general sessions with national and international leaders and strategy sessions covering some of the hottest topics and latest innovations in education. Annually, this event provides lawmakers, policymakers and advocates the opportunity to learn about successful education reforms happening throughout world and together build consensus and form solutions to shared challenges. In the coming weeks, stay tuned for more announcements on the Summit’s exciting agenda.
The 2013 National Summit on Education Reform will be held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. Registration opens today and space will go fast, so reserve your spot soon.
